■ The FIA implemented a new technical directive in Imola, and it seems that this affected McLaren a lot more than we could’ve anticipated. Even though Verstappen ran the entirety of the race in clean air, the MCL39 was nowhere near the old version of themselves, where they would usually cruise ahead with a 30-second dominance over the third-placed driver.
