Lance Stroll Onboard Crash During FP2 Dutch Grand Prix 2025

During the second free practice session (FP2) for the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort, Lance Stroll crashed heavily and triggered a red flag.

He lost control of his car at the banked Turn 3, locking his front-left tyre, under-steering into the barrier with significant speed.

The impact destroyed much of the right side of his Aston Martin F1 Team AMR25 and brought his FP2 session to an early end.

Stroll radioed that he was okay after the crash, and the team cleared him medically.

The session was red-flagged immediately to allow barrier repairs and car removal.

In subsequent coverage, it was noted the damage may include gearbox, chassis or survival-cell replacement, given the severity of the hit.

The crash had knock-on effects for the rest of the weekend: the team had to rebuild significant parts of his car overnight, and his disrupted running compromised his preparations for qualifying.
