F1 is considering a reduction in the available electrical power during race conditions as a "Plan B" solution if the Australian GP is marred by the problems raised by Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and others during the pre-season Bahrain tests. Mercedes is fighting the reduction for reasons worth speculating on.
