Ferrari is going early by launching its new 2026 Formula 1 car before January’s first pre-season test, but don’t expect what we get to see in January to be much like what Ferrari starts the first race with - because it will be doing things slightly differently. Amid the huge uncertainty triggered by the impending F1 rules revolution, Ferrari is taking no risks or trying to be too clever - so it will start testing with what it calls a Spec A car.
